The air-conditioning service unit VAS 581 001 with an integrated flushing device and a special refrigerant analysis unit meets the requirements made of German vehicle manufacturers, tested and certified by TUeV Rheinland.
Operator control is performed by means of a large keypad and the self-explanatory menu navigation.
The unit is equipped with a switch-on delay and external ventilation, therefore only the external ventilation runs in the first 35 seconds after the unit is started. The power is passed on only after this.
The air-conditioning service unit VAS 581 001 automatically carries out a leakage test at regular intervals. This ensures that small, internal leaks which may occur in the unit do not remain unnoticed.
Owing to the “low emission concept”, the air-conditioning service unit has an emptying rate of almost 99,9%, this having a positive impact on the consumption and costs of R1234yf.
Flushing of defective refrigerant circuits in damaged components or of impurities in the refrigerant or oil has been integrated in accordance with the requirements of the Volkswagen Group.
Checking R1234yf is a necessary process step in order to avoid contamination by R134a or counterfeit products.
As part of the refrigerant analysis process, small quantities of refrigerant are analysed for a 95% R1234yf content; only then is the process continued.
The management of data relating to filling quantities and oil is made possible by an internal database.
Complimentary commissioning and training is provided for customers in the EU, the USA and Canada.
Registration is necessary following delivery of the air-conditioning service unit in order to obtain a date for activation and commissioning in a timely fashion.
